In 2019 Tyler completed a Master of Divinity and in 2022 a Master of Theology in preparation for pastoral ministry. Following this time, Tyler met a dear friend and pastor, Chris Talley. Chris brought him along and helped him find his way to Lakeway Presbyterian Church, a sweet congregation in Morristown TN. Throughout his time at Lakeway, Tyler was brought on as a Pastoral Intern. During his internship there, he sensed a deepening of God’s call for pastoral ministry.

After having interest in multiple avenues of ministry, Tyler found himself talking to a staff member with Reformed University Fellowship (RUF). Following this conversation, Katie and Tyler attended RUF assessment in February and accepted the call to JSU in April of 2024. 

Tyler and Katie have four children: Peregrine (7), Ruth (5), Boone (3), and Noble (1). 

RUF JSU is a college ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America dedicated to the cultivation of a Christ-centered community on the campus. We endeavor to be a ministry where you can find good community, ask good questions, and hear good news. We are thrilled to be a part of RUF and to begin ministering to students in the coming days.
