Michael and Kelly grew up in Fairhope, Alabama, and both are Auburn graduates. Michael received a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in 1992, and he has pastored in two PCA churches over the past 27 years. Their daughter, Katherine, has graduated from college and now works in Auburn.
The Alsups joined Reformed University Fellowship International (RUF-I) at Auburn in 2018. They enjoy hosting international students and providing opportunities for them to learn more about American culture by connecting them with others in the community.
RUF-I is a Christian student organization that seeks to help international students through friendship and hospitality. Living in a foreign country can be difficult and lonely at times. RUF-I wants to make the students’ time in Auburn both enjoyable and beneficial. They host dinners, discussion groups, and activities to help international students meet others, experience American culture, and explore the Christian faith. It is the privilege of RUF-I to welcome students who are far away from their friends and families.
