Gary became the Campus Minister at Birmingham Southern College in January of 2021 after 15 years as a church planter/senior pastor in Chattanooga and Birmingham. Previously, he was a campus minister at SMU, Baylor University, and the University of Georgia. He holds a Master in Theology and Doctor of Ministry in Communication. He and his wife, Marilyn, love college students and live just a few minutes from campus. He loves being back in a campus setting as an evangelist, mentor, teacher, and spiritual father to this generation of students. Gary and Marilyn have two grown children, Davis and ClaraLane, both of whom are married.
