October 1 Marathon

On Sunday morning, October 1, a marathon will be held at Veterans Park on Valleydale Road. There will be several road and lane closures in the area from 7 a.m. to 12 noon. Please allow for extra time in getting to church and take extra care while driving in the area and in the church parking lot.

The Valleydale Road entrance to the church parking lot will be the only entrance open on the morning of October 1. Parking along Buckton Road will not be available. The gravel lot on the west side of the church property will be open but will need to be accessed through the church parking lot. To access the parking lot where Crossroads meets, use the driveway at Valleydale Road that runs between that building and the auto repair shop next door.

There will be two exits available when leaving church after the 8 a.m. service and Kingdom Communities. To turn right onto Valleydale Road, use the parking lot exit on the east end of the church property. To turn left onto Valleydale Road, proceed to the parking lot exit at Buckton Road. There will be signs and church volunteers directing traffic along Buckton Road to the intersection at Valleydale Road which will be controlled by law enforcement officers.

The race concludes at 12 noon and all lane and road closures will be removed. Traffic will be back to normal at the conclusion of the 11 a.m. service and all exits and roads available.
