A Letter from Alan:

It was a privilege to be back at Faith Church for two Sundays last month. To renew old relationships, make new friends, and be recipient of much love and blessing from all of you caused abundant joy for Sally and me. The warmth of your welcome was over the top! Thank you!

Also, I was delighted, humbled, and honored to be able to preach once again and be elected Pastor Emeritus. Thank you! The leadership has expressed their desire that we be back among you on an annual basis, and we look forward to that with great anticipation.

For now, we are laboring in the field to which God has called us. We are seeking to establish and grow relationships through which we can be a blessing and have an impact for Jesus’s Kingdom. By God’s mercy, I have had two, part-time interim pastorates here and am presently supplying pulpits approximately every other Sunday. Also, I am building relationships with local pastors so that I can come alongside if there is need and if I am asked. If God leads you to pray for us, in addition to praying for us as we age, please pray that we can have a kingdom impact in everything we do.

You are on our hearts and in our prayers. We are delighted at the abundant blessing we see poured out on FPC, and we look forward to seeing how God will bless and use Faith in the future.

Until the sweet providence of God allows us to be together again,

Alan Carter
