Join us for a week at the beach with friends (and adult leaders)\, relevant teaching\, engaging times of worship\, and lots of time on the beach. Deadline to register is April 19th. \n\n\n\nThe EDGE\nJune 20-24\n\nCovenant College\, Lookout Mountain\, GA \nRegister for The EDGE \nThe Edge is a summer conference for JrHi students (rising 7th & 8th grade) located at Covenant College. This is a significant way for our JrHi students to connect with one another and assimilate into FSM. Join us on the mountain for fun with friends\, dynamic teaching\, incredible times of worship\, and lots of great activities. Spaces are very limited! We will give priority to church members\, but if space is available after four weeks we will open registration to friends & visitors. Deadline to register is April 19th.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at this year’s Men’s Retreat. We are headed back to Tanglewood in Lawrence\, MS\, from April 17-19\, for a weekend of fellowship\, encouragement\, and worship. We will hear from David Zahl\, the founder and director of Mockingbird Ministries\, editor-in-chief of the Mockingbird website\, and co-host of The Mockingcast. \nOur theme for the weekend is Grace for a Worn-Out World (Full of Worn-Out Men). This is based on David’s book\, The Big Relief. \nThe retreat will begin Friday night\, April 17\, at 7:00 pm with dinner. The retreat will end Sunday\, April 19\, at 10:30 am\, after our final session. DESCRIPTION:You are invited to our annual Thanksgiving meal and service on November 16 from 5–7 p.m. \nWe have several volunteer needs for setup throughout the day Sunday. Please consider signing up to serve in these much needed roles. \nMake plans to arrive at the church by 4:30 or 4:45\, as we will begin the service at 5 p.m. exactly. We will start in various rooms throughout the church. KCs are grouped together\, and each KC grouping will gather in an assigned area for supper and the majority of the service. \nWhere do I go?\n\nExodus and Sojourners will gather in the FSM Space.\nGenesis and Common Ground will gather in room 151/152 (formerly 101/102).\nMosaic and Crossroads will gather in the Overlook Room.\nCovenant\, Cornerstone\, and Tapestry will gather in the Sanctuary.\n\nWhat to bring?\n\nLast names beginning with J-Z\, bring a homemade side (enough to serve 12 people) to be served alongside the BBQ and chicken fingers that the church is providing.\nLast names beginning with A-I\, bring a homemade dessert (enough to serve 12).\n\nWhat about childcare? \n\nNursery (infants through age 3) will be available for the whole service.\nChildren age 4 and above will participate in the service with their families. There will be no children’s activities.\n\nWhat is the full schedule for the evening? \n5:00 – Service begins via Livestream. We will start at tables without food. \n5:10 – Eat and a time for sharing\, with testimonies and/or prayers of gratitude. \n6:15 – Livestream begins again; Jason will read scripture and give a brief homily. \n6:45 – Everyone meets in the sanctuary. \n6:50 – Celebrate the Lord’s Supper together in the sanctuary. \n7:00 – Benediction and dismissal; return to KC rooms for clean up.

DESCRIPTION:Now that summer is here\, we are rolling out our men’s fellowships again. These opportunities allow you to be in fellowship with other men while doing something you enjoy. These are one-off events that will happen in June and July. We will leave the sign-ups open until July 31. Please only sign up for one event at the beginning so we can spread out opportunities for other men as well. We’d also encourage you not to sign up with a group of people you know well; we want you to spend time doing something you enjoy with people you might not regularly cross paths with. The link to sign up for events can be found here. \nWe would also love to add more fellowships to the list. If you’d like to host an event that’s not listed\, or a similar event to one that’s already full—or even the same event at a different date and time—please fill out this link to be a host.
